Ideal for any block-loving preschooler, this collection of 45 stacking challenges starts with a simple challenge: to move Pango the penguin across the screen to reach a prize. This means means rearranging a set of simple geometric shapes to make the necessary ramps and platforms. Progress is saved automatically, and there are two levels (easy and hard). The more you play, the more levels you unlock, until you have an entire collection of gifts for other animal friends. The story element of this app is confusing, and the blocks shown are slightly different in size than when they appear when dragged onto the screen. In addition the looping guitar music is nice at first, but can't be controlled. There's no multi-touch, either. But these aren't deal breakers because the challenges are well constructed, and there are two levels. This makes this a good choice a preschool or home learning setting.
