With a name inspired from HMI's namesake monkey, CuriousWorld is a subscription-based ($10/month with an auto-renewal feature) custom content delivery service with games, videos and eBooks that are matched to a child's profile. Visit https://www.curiousworld.com/ for more information. Content will include videos, ebooks and games. The HMH ebooks include Gossie and Curious George, as well as "acquired titles." Video content will include HMH content that covers mainstream interest areas like animals, cooking, and science experiments, and non-HMI content from partners such as NatGeo, PBS Digital and Caspar Babypants. Games are picked to "strike art styles and modes of play." The goal is to offer a "balanced learning diet across key learning areas including math, science, literacy and creative expression." HMH promises that the content will be curated by "early childhood experts" (hired by HMH) and that the content will be designed for children aged 3 to 7 years. CuriousWorld will be available on iPad and accompanied by an online parent portal that is managed by computer browser. Management tools will include a timer and the ability to see which activities your child has been using. Managed by CJ Kettler of HMI.
