Samsung Kids is a subscription-based app service designed specifically for the 7 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite tablet. The yellow rubber bumper is included. The apps come from Fingerprint Digital who will provide the content from many name-brand sources (the press release names DreamWorks, The Jim Henson Company, Highlights for Children, HiT Entertainment, National Geographic, PBS KIDS, Sesame Workshop and so on). And interactive dial user interface loads over Android, to offer children apps according to different categories. “Featured,” which showcases the latest apps; “Starter Pack,” has 20 apps valued at $75; “Games,” including word games, puzzles, books and more; and “My Stuff,” gives kids access to apps already downloaded. A timer lets parents limit access. Samsung Kids is $4.99 per month with purchase of a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite tablet. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite tablet comes with a 3-month trial of the service and launches with apps that have been mapped to the Common Core Standards.
