No-frills, solid, customizable drill meets crude but clean design, in this flashcard generator and presentation app. Each word is represented by a clear picture and voice recording of the item name. The app comes with a small set of free cards, and it is possible to purchase more -- as many as 4,200 words (600 words in 7 languages). The words are presented in two ways: there's a picture matching game like concentration for younger children (ages 2-5); and a word typing activity for older children. It is possible to put in your own sets of words, pictures, and audio, so silly faces and sounds, family members saying “hello”, etc. can all be added. The app comes in English, Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean. Categories include: Small Things - 132 words; Animals and Bugs - 79 words; Big Things - 79 words; Food and Drink - 76 words; Body - 37 words; Actions - 31 words; Descriptions - 27 words; Nature - 27 words; Places - 22 words; People - 20 words; Music - 20 words; Sports - 18 words; Shapes - 17 words; and Colors - 15 words.
