Twelve a Dozen
© 2015 Touch Press Games
Math equations never looked (or sounded) so good, in this nicely illustrated maze adventure featuring a small playable avatar carrying the numeral 12 (known as "twelve.") Your objective is to help twelve rescue her family in the town of Dozenopolis. This is accomplished by jumping through beautifully illustrated platforms while adding or subtracting sums to make twelve the right amount to unlock switches, move walls, or act a certain way. You learn, for example, that the number 9 makes your character jump much higher, and a number divisible by 4 is good for moving ramps. You get help along the way from scattered “numbles”, which are the key to solving puzzles and unlocking new powers. Taking the “numbles” and creating new numbers through addition, subtraction, division and multiplication lets you unlock the powers hidden in these new digits. Features include: 50 levels; puzzles to solve as you journey through the world; core mathematical concepts presented; art & story designed to appeal to all ages; and voice-over provided by English comedian and actress Lucy Montgomery. Developed by Bossa Studios, in conjunction with Amplify. To find out more about Amplify and Twelve a Dozen visit http://bit.ly/AmplifyTwelve. The only thing that we might question is the mismatch between the logic skills needed to make it past level 12, and the "math knowledge" required, which is much more basic.
