Oculus Rift is the official name for the first consumer release of the Oculus VR (Virtual Reality) hardware. It is known as "the original" VR headset, and has the backing of Facebook. The $600 kit works with mainstream development tools like the Unreal Engine and Unity. But it depends on an external Windows computer to make it work.
