LeapPad Platinum Tablet

This is the 2015 edition of the LeapPad, with a new name, but not much else. Features include a 7" screen, filtered wi-fi, 8GB of storage, front and back cameras, a music player, a multi-touch capacitive screen, LeapSearch (LeapFrog’s sub-par browser), parent controls and time limits. This tablet is not Android compatible. The bundle includes six Imagicard (augmented reality) games. Leapfrog promises "this is our toughest kids tablet yet." We're not sure the world needs another unbreakable tablet. But it does need another powerful, affordable, easy-to-use alternative to the iPad. Is the LeapPad Platinum viable competition? It's doubtful, but stay tuned.
