Want to be a DJ? Here's an app that playfully turns your tablet into a basic DJ station, with the ability to layer tracks that can be mixed up into just about any combination or tempo. Content includes 100 loops from dance, pop and hip hop music genres. There are also crossfader and tempo slider tools. We would like a beginner mode with fewer options, more feelings of control at the start and a less intrusive tutorial at the start. We also found it hard to save work or get out of the performance mode. We did like the potential of the two player mode. It is not possible to import sound effects. You can layer your loops and add sound effects, then take your beats to a pretend dance party where your color coded music creates visual effects. You earn points for mixing and scratching.
