Starting with a blank screen, you can mix and match or decorate six basic geometric shapes. It is possible to use them to make designs and bring them to live with a set of animation tools. Features include the ability to easily change colors and background patterns, and you can decorate the shapes with eyeballs, punch holes or sparks. A set of animation tools lets you make silent, five frame animated loops. The idea of this app is good but the interface makes you jump through some unnecessary hoops. Testers wanted to pinch in or out to resize shapes, and were disappointed by the limited number of items they could add to a shape. This app might be useful for a teacher who wants a class to zoom in on a specific set of shapes and attributes. For example, this app would make it possible to make your own Tangram puzzle, and then simply animate it. The bottom line? This is a good concept but the interface needs sanding. Work is saved automatically.
