PAW Patrol Draw & Play (v. 1.2)
© 2015 Nickelodeon
This is a continuation of the "Draw & Play" series of apps (see also Nick Jr. Draw and Play). Sadly the version we reviewed (version 1.2 on an iPad air) was made by a new studio, and had a serious bug -- crashing whenever a bouncing ball is added to the screen. This problem was shared by others in the iTunes comments. We'll keep the rating low until we can confirm that this bug has been fixed. When it's working, the app lets you use a set of intuitive drawing, coloring and painting tools, plus animated PAW Patrol stickers, magic wands, spinning splatter-tops, bouncing balls (that crash the app) and surprise blocks that go together to make interactive creations. Guided-play activities include picture ideas and PAW Patrol eCards, and parents can share their child’s artwork with family and friends. There are eight brushes for drawing and painting; 22 Animated Stickers; Splatter Tops, Magic Wands and Surprise Blocks to create effects in your pictures; eCards; picture ideas to help jump-start your child's imagination; animated Tutorials; Airplay; and Parental Controls. Created by Toronto based Splashworks (www.splashworks.com) for Nickelodeon.
