Book Creator

This simple but powerful app lets you create a lot more than books. You can mix together video, audio, sketches -- and save work in a variety of open source formats, including ePub, iBooks and PDF. Think of this as your digital Swiss Army Knife for publishing. Note that we only tested the iPad and not the Android version. After you choose a page size (either portrait, square or landscape) you touch a + sign to add photos, sounds, videos or sketches, or live pictures from your from your camera. It is easy to resize text, photos or videos, and you can arrange elements from front to back. Saving books is automatic, and it is easy to edit previous projects or copy old projects into new ones. But the best part is that you can easily export your books to "real" book formats, including sharing by way of Airdrop, or exporting to stores including any ePub format, iBooks or Google Books, with no royalty issues. Available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Traditional Chinese. Thanks to a demo by Gail Lovely at Dust or Magic, we have a new favorite app for making books.
