Made in Denmark, this is the first app in the Appi Dabbi series is designed to lay the foundation for reading site words, using a flashcard like presentation. Qread, short for quick read, introduces children to words and uses the "direct method" of reading. There are four levels, ranging from simple words to abstract words including the names of countries and notions of physics. According to the publisher "by using words, pictures, animation and explaining the meaning behind words like job, solar system, USA creates a dialog between the parent and child." Qread is designed to be used two minutes per day, in homes or schools.
