Scribbaloo Train
© 2015 Scribbaloo
Ten collage illustrations meet clumsy interactive design, in this collection of finger-driven pictures, where you tap missing outlines to fill in a scene, resulting in a train moving across the screen. The app targets first iPad users, with a very simple design. Unfortunately opportunities for child control are limited -- the train moves on its own and the patterns are pre-selected. You can't control the pace or the direction of the train, and music loops. There's not much room for choice or child control in this app, and no narrative other than loading a train. So there's not much to "scribble". But the illustrations, comprised of familiar materials like sticky tape, felt and foil, are visually interesting.
