This interactive novel cleverly weaves video with print, using different multi-touch mechanics to pull you into the dreams of the main character. In chapter one, you pinch-out to see inside the storyteller's dreams, or pinch-in to view reality. Other techniques include dragging along lines of braille to see the associated video, and pinching-out on lines of text to see the video "between the lines." If you're interested in the relationship between print and video, and how the two can be welded together with interactive techniques, this is a good app to consider. Note that this app contains violent themes, and we don't recommend it for children younger than 14 years of age. We do, however find the interactive design worth noting. We learned of this app from Chris Meade at the Bologna Children's Book Fair, this app was the winner of the UK's New Media Writing Prize.
