Simple geometry comes to life in this clever set of five living puzzles from Italy. The app starts in Italian but don't worry, no reading is required. You start with a shower of squares, circles and triangles, along with the outline of one shape. You are free to drag and drop the shapes, but learn that if you make a match, a second shape outline appears on the screen. Those provide feedback, as well as issues a new challenge. Ten or so matches later, you've built a car that drives off the screen, and you can try it again with a slightly more challenging boat. The parent materials are in your choice of Italian, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Korean, French, Japanese, English, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish. You need to know that there's very little content in this app. But the way it's carefully presented is the reason it made it's way onto the BolognaRagazzi Digital Prize short list.
