Great content (especially the illustrations) meets rudimentary interactive design, in this beautifully illustrated Liberian folk tale. Games include a modified version of Flappy Bird that is frustratingly tricky. Also, the main menu could be simplified. Despite these shortcomings, the story is solid -- about a clever bird who makes special medicine for Crocodile's toothache. Content includes authentic text and illustrations, with some interactivity (touch the crocodiles eyes to make them light up). We didn't like how the design forces you to find the interactive features before you can turn the page. The West African-inspired soundtrack is by Dora the Explorer composer, Steve Sandberg. The content is based on the book "How Plover Bird Came to Clean Crocodile’s Teeth: A West African Folktale," retold by Michael Richards and illustrated by David Wolobah.
