Note (July 2015): See Ozobot Bit. Ozobot is a small rolling robot that can be programmed with colored lines. You use black, red, green and blue lines to get the small robots to move forward, backward, fast, slow, right and left. The salt-shaker sized robots measure slightly over an inch in diameter and height and are powered by rechargeable lithium ion batteries. They can work with either paper and pens, or apps that deliver different maze challenges. Obviously you'll need the robot in order to use the app.Ozobot is one of the world's most compact robots, using twin micro-motors and a friction drivetrain designed to deliver quiet and precise movement on a smooth service (longer on an iPad's glass screen). The sensor array on the bottom of the robot allows it to scan its environment, seeing colors and line intersections. As it moves, the LEDs provide feedback. Ozobot Bit’s built-in LiPo battery is rechargeable via a micro-USB port and delivers "over an hour of continuous action on a single charge."Ozobot can either follow your instructions or move autonomously, it can memorize & play back up to 500 moves. Apps include OzoLuck, OzoPath and OzoDraw (for both iOS and Android).
