Looking for an educational bargain? Download this app... You can't argue with the price of this set of ebooks, math drills, movies and nursery rhymes (free). Adapted for tablet from Waterford's school curriculum this is a nice collection of no-strings-attached content. While the books are clunky, they offer touch and hear scaffolding and there are 16 popular stories to choose from. There are four leveled math drills that serve up 25 progressive levels by way of four games: Balloon Race, Rock Climb, Let’s Build, and Frustration! Each has you helping an animal get to a goal, by solving math fact problems as quickly as possible. In Frustration, you try to beat your own time. Other features include 35 original songs designed to illustrate reading, math and science concepts and five nursery rhyme read-alongs presented in board book format. From an interactive point of view the stories are limited, but they are solid stories and children can choose to listen to them if they like. The bottom line? Download this app... you won't be sorry. It will work in either a home or classroom.
