This is the full version of Tachin Mini; a collection of five quirky musical instruments that respond to touch, sound or motion. The idea is to motivate children to explore musical sounds by using iPhones and iPads in different ways, instigating more physical movements and interactions than just clicking on screen. One of the instruments is "Mr. Moustache", found in free app Tachin Mini. The publishers intend for this app to encourage children to play outside of the device. Our favorite instrument was a stretching plant, that rewards a child's explorations with a pitch that they can control. Unfortunately, the other instruments are harder to control, creating very random results.
