Super Smash Bros. on Wii U
© 2014 Nintendo of America
This edition of Super Smash Bros. features HD graphics, more moves, fast action (based on our preview at E3) and works with traditional GameCube controllers, providing you have a special adapter (Nintendo has announced a converter that will enable the use of the older controllers for the Wii U version). Zig says: To tell the truth I was a bit skeptical when I first saw a Smash Bros. game was coming to a handheld console but I have to say this game has grown on me and I do enjoy it. This is a great entry in Nintendo’s beloved fighting game series where the goal of the game is same as always, knock your opponent off the stage. The characters you can play as in the starting roster is comprised of the largest and most adverse selection of characters in the series and of course you are able to unlock hidden characters. As with any smash bros. game it is better playing multiplayer which is a little harder with the handheld system. If someone else can play local multiplayer that would great but otherwise wi-fi online capabilities leave something to be desired. Playing smash online is great when it works, but if one person as a bad connection the whole match becomes painful until someone lags out. Over all I would say this game is a must play for all smash fans. Fun Nintendo fact: This is the first game ever to include Pacman, Megaman, Sonic and Mario.
