Naming Parts of Plants and Animals

Designed to teach children the structure of plants and animals, this app lets children complete a picture by dragging the parts that make it up. For each topic, a picture shown on the screen is completed by dragging the different parts (e.g. with a flower: petal, leaf, roots, stem etc.) from the right of the screen and placing them into the correct position. When all of the parts have been placed, labels can be added. Then children can click on the labels to hear and read more about that part of the plant or animal. The app is designed using the requirements of the National Curriculum and the Next Generation Science Standards.
