Pickatale is a multilingual library of interactive children books, focused on improving literacy and vocabulary for children up to age eight. The more than 160 stories, in English, Norwegian, Swedish and Chinese, feature princesses, dragons, dinosaurs, animals, and important historical figures. The goal is to help children learn to read, as well as learn about the world. Other features include: three ways to read the stories - auto play, read to me, and read myself; touch and hear pictures; and two new books released each week. The app is free to download, with sample books, but to access the full library of books you will need to purchase a subscription for $2.99 per month. The app is auto-renewed monthly unless canceled prior to the start of the new month.
