What Do I Wear? - Touch, Look, Listen
© 2014 StoryToys
The fourth in the "Touch, Look and Listen" series from StoryToys, this stand alone app contains 65 common clothing items grouped into 11 categories -- or pages -- that include such items as a football helmet, a dress and a bow tie. You can either freely explore the objects, or there's a quiz mode that asks you to "Tap the dress." The items are logically grouped on each page, and illustrated with clear photos and speech, and labeled in both print and speech. As with the other StoryToys apps, the pages respond to motion and the items pop up on a 3D carousal, providing a nice "alive" characteristic. But here's the most important feature. You can customize the app with both a primary and secondary language from the main menu. Primary language options include English, Dutch and Chinese; secondary language options are French and Spanish. So, if you're a Chinese language speaker who wants to learn Spanish, this is your app. This is a great tool for second language learners, of any age. Previous apps in the series cover zoo animals, starter words and things that go.
