iRead With (Series)

This shared-reading experience is designed to foster language development in preschoolers, by giving parents (or teachers) a job: to start a dialogue using suggestions from the app.The first two books in the iRead With series feature Caillou from the PBS Kids television series: "Caillou: What's That Funny Noise?" and "Caillou: Show and Tell." Both offer interactive features that "foster parent-child conversation and keep the child's attention." A narration feature lets children explore after the shared reading experience. The videos were produced by DHX Media. Caillou was first created in 1987 in Montreal by Christine L'Heureux, who was "inspired by the work of French psychoanalyst Dr. Franoise Dolto."
