Zoomy Handheld Digital Microscope is a portable, rechargeable computer microscope that displays excellent quality images (up to 43x) on a Mac or Windows computer screen. You can charge and transfer images with the USB port. The egg-shaped microscope fits easily in a child's hand, and is easy to manage thanks to the fact that there are no batteries. Images are illuminated with LED lights that surround the lens opening. The focus can be adjusted. This is an excellent all-around classroom tool, if you can get it working. Note that Mac users have complained about the driver. Our testers had difficulty loading the mini disk on to a new MacBook Air (which does not have a disk drive). The PC laptop we use in the classroom setting did have the appropriate disk drive and the results were impressive. Utilizing the USB port to charge and download images and videos, the Zoomy Microscope fit comfortably in every child's hand and was easy to manage within a classroom.
