Students are presented with short reading passages and then asked multiple choice questions on main idea, inference, vocabulary and sequence. There are six levels of difficulty, 120 passages and 1,320 questions. A tryout mode gives a pretest of sorts, followed by a workout mode, where kids can practice skills in the context of reading passages. There are also word association and crossword puzzles, and a final test. Management options keep track of each child's progress. This is a very dry program, with no frills, but it could be useful. Home versions are available for $27.00.
