Best for two player split screen action, this beautifully illustrated multi-player (one or two player), 35 level fighting game lets you become a Samurai fighter in ancient Japan. The title is more about strategy and exploring the levels than purely gory fighting. There are both free play and mission modes of play. The more you play, the more fighters and areas you can unlock. Progress can be saved in one of four game save slots. You control the weapons and armor, and decide which course to take to complete your mission. Content includes 35 warriors who can fight on foot or horseback. and can be customized. A “Murasame Castle” level lets you explore a castle inspired by Shigeru Miyamoto's “The Mysterious Murasame Castle"... a collaboration between the Nintendo designer and KoeiTecmo. Some of the content is based on real Japanese history. The title is thick with gender stereotypes, and of course a lot of fighting. Best described as "babes with swords." In terms of educational value, each level starts with a battle plan, that requires attention to detail. A multi-player mode lets you work collaboratively together with another player using either local or online play over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Created by Koei Co for Nintendo.
