Available in both free and "Pro" ($.99) versions, TonePad is a musical creativity experience, to compose rhythmic simple songs by arranging dots (or notes) on a 16x16 grid. Like the pins on a music box, each dot activates a tone, making it easy to make rhythmic and melodic patterns. It is a good way for children to better understand music through a spatial mode of thought. You can save an unlimited number of songs. The current song is also saved automatically on exit, and songs can be shared online, by pressing an Upload button. The Pro version lets you compose your own ringtones.
