Good Nite Lite

If you need further proof that microprocessors are seeping into just about everything, consider the Good Nite Lite-- a night light with a digital timer. The $35 device must first be programmed for your schedule, a cumbersome process. The night light has a built in timer that changes the visual display from the Moon (when your child should be sleeping) to the Sun (when it is appropriate for them to get up and start their day). The Good Nite Lite is bright when they first go to sleep, then automatically dims after a set time, allowing your child to associate the dim Moon with the knowledge that it is still bedtime and they should go back to sleep. The Sun will not illuminate until your pre-set time, telling your child "rise and shine!" This is a great idea that we all wish we had at one point in our parenting lives. If we could only get the thing programmed.
