Mixels, which bills itself as "the safest social network for kids" could add another tag line: "the most clunky login process." After an email to technical support, we were able to get a guest login, to see how Mixels works, from both a parent and a child's perspective. After you setup your child's account, you can create a schedule, and then see a log of what your child has done, while using the Mixels service. Unfortunately, Mixels can't tell you what your child is doing when outside of Mixels. It is possible to link up members to chat online with friends, play games, and read about current events. The service is free for a 14 day trial, after that the cost is $5.99 per month, or $55 per year.
