The American Presidents DVDs are a series of educational DVDs on American History, for use in the classroom or for homeschooling. The first two titles were released in January. Revolution and the New Nation & Expansion and Reform covers the first 11 presidents from 1754 to 1861. Civil War and Reconstruction & Development of the Industrial US covers the 12th-25th presidents from 1850 to 1900. Each DVD includes short Presidential biographies and era overviews for historical context and are based on National Curriculum Standards. They also feature interviews with political luminaries such as Sam Donaldson, Wesley Clark and others. Each DVD also includes interactive whiteboard content, a competitive game that uses video clips, photos and quotes to test students knowledge. The next two DVDs in the series, released August 2010, are: The Emergence of Modern America & The Great Depression and WWII; and Postwar United States & Contemporary United States. Also coming Fall 2010 is another series entitled History Connections, with two titles scheduled for release: The Roaring 20's; and Colonial America.
