Text4Baby (www.text4baby.org) is a free text messaging service designed for expectant parents. To sign up, you send a one-word text message... the word BABY (or BEBE for Spanish) to this number: 511-411, and you'll get a prompt asking for your baby’s due date and your zip code. A stream of personally timed messages -- about three per week and usually mid-afternoon will start arriving on your screen. The 160 character or less messages were created by the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition (HMHB), who worked with government agencies, corporations, academic institutions, professional associations and non-profit organizations.
