Available as a free 167 MB download for Macintosh or Windows, Open Office 3 is a suite of five productivity programs; each comparable to Microsoft Office applications. These include: Writer (a word processor); Calc (spreadsheet); Presentation (for multimedia presentations); Draw (for making sketches or illustrations); and Base (a database application). Each application is integrated to work with the others, and the word processor is compatible with Microsoft Word.
