Our testers were eager to jump into the richly animated world of Pandora, especially after seeing the movie. Their verdict? "It's a lot like other games." But they liked the ability to continue the Avatar games, and the tried-and-true fighting/shooting game play model kept the interest level high. You either fight with the Na'vi, Pandora's indigenous people, or against them, as a soldier of the RDA Corporation, using customizable weapons or clan-specific skills. As you unlock levels, you acquire new skills. You can also create your own character, drive the vehicles and ride the animals of Pandora. The bottom line? This is a lot of fun for a short time period, but once you beat the game, you're done. It's a good game to borrow. As you'd expect, there's a lot of fighting and violence, so read the ESRB descripters. Prices are $40 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, $30 for the Wii, PSP and PC versions, and $20 for the Nintendo DS version. Note that the DS version is rated E10+, all other versions are rated T.
