Worth every quarter of your $5, this iPhone/iPod touch app has you shooting tiny marbles at colored pegs in pin-ball-like fashion. Sound easy? It's not. The pegs can be under barriers or only accessible through a small transporter doorway. The experience can also become addicting-- so don't try this when riding your bike. You are limited to 10 balls a stage and when you run out, game over. There are four modes of play: adventure, quick play, challenge, and duel. The adventure mode introduces you to a "Peggle Master" every four or five levels, along with valuable green pegs that are especially hard to hit. A blaster shoots the ball and requires you to think about the ball's movements before taking your shot. The knowledge of angles is a must here. Players who have better predicting skills will earn the best score. The bottom line? This is a definite buy. It can shorten your commute or provide mental relief for a stressed-out student taking some time off after school.
