Fun, innovative and expensive (at $50) this one or two player, drop in, drop out Star Wars adventure follows a tried-and-true format. It's an excellent game for a parent and child to play cooperatively together, as you blast your way through all the interesting bad guys. We tested the XBox 360 version, to which the following comments apply. Some of the multi-button controls are hard to figure out (such as when you have to jump and fire at the same time). Fortunately, the training level is forgiving, letting you steer your avatar over a cliff as many times as you like, as you learn the controls. Our testers liked the rich illustrations and innovative, maze like levels that include jumping on exotic suspended platforms and flying on hovercraft. The animated scenes between challenges are beautiful, and feature characters from the animated television series including Anakin Skywalker and Clone Captain Rex. The new storyline bridges the gap between season one and two, and takes you on an adventure to stop a mysterious techno assassin's plot. You will use your lightsaber and Force powers to battle through the Separatist droids, and turn your enemies into weapons as you commandeer droids and use their abilities to solve puzzles as a Jedi. To complete the level, you have to score points and keep your strength high in order to earn points and unlock bonus items. Prices are $50 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii versions, and $30 for the PS2, PSP and DS versions. The bottom line? This game won't let you down. Borrow or buy it, if you can afford it. We did not test the handheld versions. Created for LucasArts by Krome Studios.
