This poor attempt to bring flash cards to your iPhone or iPod touch uses a control mechanism that is harder to understand than the math problems themselves. There are two modes of play, each designed to drill randomly presented math facts. Learn mode is a set of flash cards where you select a math operation and spin a wheel in order to see the correct answer. Quiz Time lets you spin three wheels (two for the equation and one for the answer) in order to select the correct answer. While the equation is read aloud (e.g., "what is 5 + 3?"), the program keeps prompting you to "try another equation." Feedback is presented with smiles or frowns. Missing is the ability to change the difficulty level or provide help. In other words, this program is no smarter than a traditional printed set of flash cards. We'd have to agree with the reviewer who wrote, "This was a complete waste of $2.99." Note that this review was done on version 1.0.
