This scavenger hunt adventure for the Nintendo DS is a nice extension of the TV show. In the game, you wander around a 3D version of Alex Russo's home, where you learn how to cast spells, earn coins and play minigames. These spells are created by tracing patterns on the touch screen, creating a nice fine-motor activity. Your coins can unlock accessories needed to customize Alex's wardrobe. Levels are set in the Waverly Sub Station, the Wizards Lair, Tribeca Prep, the Russo loft and others. The Disney’s DGamer feature lets players exchange scores with other players, or chat about the game. There's some logic, and a good deal of reading in the game.
