Designed for spying on your baby -- or any other portable surveillance needs -- the Digital Wireless Monitoring System ($270 at www.lorexcctv.com) consists of two parts. The wireless receiver has a 2.4" color LCD display the size of a typical color camera viewfinder. The size of a walkie-talkie and powered by lithium-ion batteries, it can be worn on a belt using a clip, table mounted with the integrated stand/charger, or wall mounted. The second part is a camera which features night LED vision, making it possible to watch your baby in a dark room. The camera has a blue LED night light that can be controlled remotely from the receiver, plus the ability to be powered either with the included AC adapter, or by batteries (4 AAs) when on the road. We tested the signal in our local library, and found the range to be about 50 feet. When blocked by thick walls or the elevator, the signal would fade out completely.
