This well-designed party game -- for one to four players -- has a distinctly "Nintendo" feel to it. The 50 fast-paced mini-games are fun and easy to play -- with up to four players. You can race to see how fast you can flip bacon, eat sushi, shine a flashlight beam to find a hidden mummy, or chop wood. The DS version follows a familiar theme, but has 10 fewer games. If you win, you get a customized statue in your name. Note that some reading is required, and children will need help to set up the game -- although this process is easier than with many other party games. Each game is hosted by a different sim (Wiis are not used). Each MySim has different skills including strength, speed and endurance. In some games, success depends on combining the right characters, who work together to meet the challenge. If you're looking for a group activity, and the members of the group vary in developmental level, this is a good option. Borrow it or buy it.
