Update July 2010: Webosaurs.com has now added new features including virtual pets such as crocodiles, porcupines and sabre tooth kittens that you can get at the pet shop. You can bathe, feed and play with your pets, and your pets' happiness meters will indicate how they are doing. The site also features a new arcade room, and new quests, new landscapes and new games including Trouble in the Treetops where you must climb up the trees while dodging falling bugs and coconuts as you race to the top of the jungle. You can also now use coins to purchase new avatars for your accounts and switch between Pterry, Stretch, Horns and Rexxy. You can also earn your coins back by recycling unwanted cave items with the Recycle icon in your cave. Launched July 2009, this online virtual world features the Webosaurs, a group of dinosaur characters that survived extinction because they were on a small piece of land that was furthest from the meteor impact. Players can customize their 3D dinosaur avatars, and play both single and multi-player games. The games allow you to earn coins that can be used to customize both your avatar and home cave. The site also wants to promote environmental awareness and education and encourage children to support eco-friendly causes. Children can choose from a list of pre-selected organizations and donate their coins, which will result in real world contributions to their causes. The site is free to play, however, it offers premium content through subscriptions. A one month subscription is $6, six months is $30, and 12 months is $50.
