Designed especially for library or classroom computers, Clean Slate version 5.0 is designed to restore a Windows computer to its original configuration each time it is restarted, say at the end of the day. There are a variety of ways to set it up, so that Windows updates can take place for example, or that your antivirus program can run. You can also allow a program to be installed over the course of a day (say, from a CD-ROM or through a download), but the program is erased at the end of the day. The program uses a password system to let you view the changes and save selected changes permanently. This latest version works with Windows Vista/XP/2000. There are no ongoing fees to worry about, and lower cost upgrades are available.
