Think Facebook for the Nintendo DS and you get the idea of this cartridge designed to let you play games, interact with friends, and stay organized. You start off by customizing an avatar and then creating a privacy-protected Friend Card that includes your contact information, likes/dislikes, and personal data. You can then stay in touch with friends by sharing Friend Cards containing your information and your schedule. Up to six friends can connect wirelessly to participate in questionnaires, plan social activities, and play minigames. There is also a voice changer that records via the DS microphone, as well as a sound effects machine with over 25 sounds. In addition, you can manage your schedule, keep a journal, and use a calculator and world map. Testers liked the idea, but found the keyboard to be too small and hard to use, considering the amount of text you need to enter. In addition, the security is too tight. Instead of a simple password, you need to enter a screen name and password, and if you forget, recall a list of clue questions. If you forget your password, you need to find the instructions in order to reset the game. Librarians, note that this is not a circulation-friendly game because it must be customized for one player.
