Here's yet another solid Backyard Football title, this time featuring 32 NFL teams, with kid versions of one star player from each, including Ronde Barber, Steven Jackson, Peyton Manning and Chris Cooley. You can also choose from 11 Backyard teams such as the Humongous Melonheads or the Labrador Receivers. The game has new Tournament and All-Pro modes, along with a Hall Of Fame season coach stats report where you use your Hall Of Fame code to compare your stats with other kids at www.backyardsports.com. (The feature varies by platform.) Features include three challenge levels, single or season play mode, and the ability to customize your player roster. We liked how the Easy Level really is easy to play, a key strength of the Backyard Sports franchise. In other words, this is still a leading candidate for your child's first sports simulation. Prices are $40 for the Wii version, $30 for the Nintendo DS, and $20 each for the PS2 and PC versions.
