Go, Diego, Go!: Great Dinosaur Rescue (Nintendo DS)
© 2008 2K Play
While the Nintendo DS version of Go, Diego, Go!: Great Dinosaur Rescue follows the same story line as the Wii and PS2 versions, this title is more of a collection of minigames than an immersive sidescroller. Still, there are a few noteworthy features, such as the use of the DS microphone to scare away dinos, and the extensive use of the DS stylus to sort, steer, color and match. After you sign into the three game save slots, you can choose one of three modes: Adventure, Replay, and Museum. Ten activities include Dino Matching (a game of concentration with dinosaur cards) and Picture Time (scroll around a scene in search of hidden dinosaurs). Some of the steering games are too sluggish, and there's a bit of reading -- although this won't keep younger children from the game. Prices are $40 for the Wii version, $30 for the Nintendo DS, and $20 for the PS2. Borrow it.
