If you like the catchy tunes of High School Musical, you'll also like this easy-to-use dancing game, which pairs 29 High School Musical songs with basic dancing moves. You start by choosing one of three challenge level (sophomore, junior or senior) and then pick a main character to represent you in the game. You can compete in multi-player dance-offs, and earn points by matching onscreen motion indicators with the direction markers on the mat. Things are made easier because the motion indicators start at the center of the screen and move outward in one of four directions -- a process that younger children can do. You can also use the arrow keys on the controller if you want, in addition to the dance pad, or use both simultaneously. The better you dance, the more content you unlock, including songs, clothing and characters. In the Wii version, you use both the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to move, and a sharp motion is needed to record a move to score points. The PS2 ($50) and Xbox 360 ($70) come bundled with a special edition "Wildcat" (the name of the school) dance pad. You can also purchase the PS2 version for $30 without the dance pad and use a standard dance pad instead. Our testers found this game easier to play than many Dance Dance Revolution titles.
