This battery-powered (six AAs) flying helicopter has two tiny propellers and two large folding wings that let it hover in place for about five minutes on a single charge. Using the Infrared remote control (which doubles as a charger), you can steer -- although it is sometimes hard to control. That's because the sensor is always spinning. There's an Auto Pilot Mode which we could not figure out, that tells the sensors to avoid obstacles. If you have another Bladester, you can have a dogfight. Because the wings are so light and they fold, damage is minimal. In addition, a replacement set of wings is included. The charge takes about 20 minutes on fresh batteries. This would be a useful prop for a science lesson dealing with the physics of flight.
