This one-player RTS (Real Time Strategy, like Age of the Empires, or chess) game lets you help Little Blue—a penguin—fend off hungry creatures that are eager to steal Penguin Town's fish supply. Fast action is required to catch more fish. By using various types of towers around the edge of the town, you can select your defense strategy. Some use snowballs and ice cubes, while others use icicles and frost. The invaders can consist of woolly mammoths, snowmen, seals or snapping turtles -- each with different properties. Testers noted that the Wii version seemed easier to play than the DS version. They liked the simple scoring system although moving through the game successfully required tracking an unwieldy number of resource types. This is a good game to borrow, but only if you like real-time-strategy types of games.
