Jump inside your own trivia game show with Sony's animated Buzz titles, designed specifically for the PS3. The animated routines contain stylized, somewhat stereotyped characters that may not appeal to everyone, so be sure to have a look at a demonstration video first. Also, some of the stage banter is tacky -- earning the title a Teen rating. We also noted that some of the stock questions are too challenging for younger players. This is disappointing. Why worry parents with a Teen rating for such a potentially family-friendly title? Content features 5,000 questions in five categories: Music, Movies & TV, Sports, Brainiac, and Lifestyle. There is also a new Channel Hopper mode that allows you to switch between the different categories of questions. You can play with up to eight people, or up to four players in online multiplayer -- making this a potentially useful experience for a library setting. If your PS3 is online, you can also download quiz packs with 500 questions each, or create your own eight-question mini quizzes that can be shared with other players. The game was developed by Relentless Software and comes bundled with four BUZZ! wireless controllers. If you like trivia titles and don't mind the stereotyped game show characters, you'll like Buzz.
