This is a card based strategy game developed exclusively for the PS2. In the game, the Dual Academy is holding a "Tag Duel Tournament". You play as a transfer student who has just joined and must duel the best duelists in the academy, building trust and friendship in order to find the right partner for the tournament. The game features over 2,400 cards which allow for new decks and duel strategies and duel characters that only appear in GX Tag Force 2 (PSP). Players can also connect to GX Tag Force 2 on their PSP to obtain more cards. The game also includes three exclusive trading cards.
